Operating as a mental health support group over three years has had many highlights and moments you will never forget. Attending the Ruby Red Gala at Fraser Restaurant in Kings Park, Perth was one of these moments.
Lots of well dressed people gathered outside the location for a sundowner with live music. Then we were seated and awards were called between entree, mains and dessert. We shared the table with the Busselton Hospice Care Team who were another nominee in the rural and remote support group category. The Southwest Migrant Women’s Group won the award for that category on the night, but we were chuffed to be nominated as finalist.
We made new friends, enjoyed the food, talk and drinks and came home motivated and happy. What a night!
