
Green Herring releases CD
Green Herring Oz has been the house band of Greenbushes Acoustic since the club started. Irma Lachmund and Lee Goodall have just recorded their first CD with Andy Hardy on bass.
Green Herring is proud to pre-release their CD ‘In Hot Waters’ locally. The CD will be available for purchase and for streaming then too.
Green Herring is made up of Irma Lachmund, Lee Goodall and Andy Hardy from Greenbushes. Their CD features 13 originals in the folk and bluegrass styles. Song topics include good community mental health, regenerative living, the climate crisis and tips for staying sane in these crazy times.
The CD was recorded at Devils Hollow Studios in Bridgetown. The artwork is by Holly Lamy from Manjimup.
The launch will be hosted by the Perth Folk and Roots Club on Sunday, 23 July from at the Inglewood Sports and Bowling Club, 1 Stancliffe Road in Mount Lawley. Doors open at 5pm, the band playes from 7pm. Pre-release will be hosted by Greenbushes Acoustic. It is on Friday 15 July from 5pm at the RSL Hall in Greenbushes.
The events are free and open to all, refreshments and a small supper will be available in Greenbushes. Please bring your own drinks and let them know that you are coming, reply to greenherringoz@gmail.com.
