Between 1 July and 1 December 2023, we worked to initiate similar wellbeing support groups with an acoustic music focus in Busselton and in Boyup Brook.

Our outreach has resulted in the desire to establish a new acoustic association around acoustic music and peotry for the Southwest of Western Australia.

Our new asssociation is called South West Acoustic Circle, it is based in Greenbushes and aims to establish nore opportunity for acoustic music and good mental health in the Southwest region. The organisation partners with Greenbushes Acoustic.. It has a facebook group under the name South West Acoustic circle. We also instigated a Facebook Community Group connected to the website. We want to connect people across all of the Southwest.

Our 2023 project was funded by the Mental Health Commission of WA through ConnectGroups. Main focus was bringing people together at the local level to play, recite, sing and listen to live acoustic music and bush poetry, build relationships and community, self-esteem as well as skills.
